#1: ADVERTISE! The Internet is a powerful COMPLEMENT to your classified advertising, not a substitute! Advertise as often as possible (Saturday usually offers the best single-day exposure), and by all means make use of the FREE resources available at www.privatelist.com/free_ads.htm

#2: JOIN THE TEAM!

It's not just YOUR ads that bring prospective buyers to your PrivateList display, but the ads of our OTHER clients as well - the more the merrier!

So help us help you: if you come across anyone else who's selling privately, please refer them to www.privatelist.com or have them phone toll-free 1-888-747-4054.

And have us send you a package of colorful posters we've created inviting buyers and sellers to visit the web-site - then post them on bulletin boards at malls, libraries, etc. in your area.

#3: SPREAD THE WORD! Every day, try to mention your sale to two or three people. Do your co-workers, friends, relatives and neighbours know you're selling? What about your banker, accountant, hairdresser, local service stations, realtors (why not?), convenience stores . . .

#4: ARE YOUR HIGHLIGHT SHEETS CURRENT? Are they still where you posted them? In good condition? Showing the right price? Contact us if you need more copies, or print some more yourself. Be sure to use a HIGH-QUALITY paper (we recommend EPSON photo-quality inkjet paper).
